twenty eleven

By Esther Rachel Lai. - 1/09/2012

I've been wanting to post an entry about 2011, i know it's a little late but it's better late than never right? So...2011 has been an EXTREMELY eventful year for me.
The beginning of 2011, Shane & I were off to a brand new start because he broke my heart real bad in 2010 but i let go, let live and we patched it up and things began to look good.

& just in case you're wondering, no, i didn't find out about my pregnancy in 2011, i found out about it at the end of 2010. But 2011 saw us sweating our brains out to tell our parents about it.

2011 also brought more time together as a family, going nice places, spending weekends together, shopping as a family, going back to church as a family, etc. I can't even begin to explain how thankful I am that my family's closer than ever before.

April 2011, I got married to Shane Simon Joseph at a tender age of nineteen and up till this moment, I have absolutely no regrets (:

I also got back my previously rented out room in 2011, revamped it, and in less than a month, Shane moved in with me. But I didn't get to enjoy my room for long, after I gave birth, I had to move out and live with my in-laws.

On the 5th of August 2011, at 08:27pm, the wait for the arrival of my babygirl Kylie Danielle Joseph was finally over & we embraced her with open arms.

2011 has been the best year of my life. It's been a drastic change in many ways, a turning point, a time of growing up and adapting. I received so much love, care and concern like never before from friends, family and even acquaintances and my lecturers. In 2011, I also realised who are the friends I could really count on and who I should let go. I've seen the unconditional love my parents have for me, my relationship with my mom has drastically improved and I now see her in a different light. 2011, Kylie taught me a whole new form of love I never knew existed. 2011 has made me see how blessed I truly am, it's been an emotional roller coaster ride of sorts. Ultimately, I am eternally glad for what the past year has brought and taught me & I thank God for everything He's done for me.
As 2012 brings new lessons and experiences, for as long as I live, I'll never forget the life changing year, 2011.
